NOWI is a strong brand of Karl Noss Lederwaren GmbH & Co KG, which began manufacturing suspenders, belts, sleeve and sock holders by hand in 1930 and was already on the market in 1946 with 12 employees producing school bags, briefcases, leather bags and leather clothing.

Rapid growth and development of new markets

As early as 1965, the economic power of the Asian region was recognized and the first business deals with Far Eastern colleagues in the industry were started. Over the years, the company grew at a rapid pace, so that in 1987, new business premises had to be moved to Oberbantenberg. In 2000, a new location opened in Wiehl-Bomig on a site of 15,000 m², with a modern headquarters, an attached distribution warehouse and office area, 2 showrooms and an outlet store. A few years later, Karl Noss Lederwahren GmbH & Co KG introduced the leisure and sports brand Come2Gether, as well as the specialist retail brand Cocoono.

In 2009, NOWI Far East Ltd. was founded in Hong Kong and just one year later the first office was opened in China, Jaxing. In 2012, the company became a member of BSCI in order to campaign for better working conditions and compliance with social standards in the Far East too!
