Cabin Baggage

Cabin luggage , also called carry-on luggage or hand luggage, is flexible, spacious and suitable for both business trips and short weekend trips, as it does not have to be checked in.

A hand luggage suitcase should not exceed dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. These dimensions were set by the IATA and include wheels, handles, side pockets, etc. The total width, length and height should not exceed 115 cm.

However, the IATA guidelines are not binding. Since some airlines deviate from these hand luggage dimensions, we provide dimensions and weights for each item in our shop. Given these strict regulations, you should also pay attention to the weight of your cabin luggage when buying it. Depending on the model, a cabin trolley weighs around 3 kg. So if you only travel with carry-on luggage, you can switch to cabin-sized travel bags or a backpack to save weight. Since there are neither wheels nor rods, these are usually much lighter than a carry-on suitcase . In addition, both have numerous interior and exterior compartments for even more storage space.

A practical alternative to the classic cabin trolley, especially when you are travelling on business, are garment bags . Some airlines have different maximum sizes for these and they also ensure that your clothes are transported without creases and, depending on the model, also have zipped compartments for documents and other items.
