Evening bags & clutches - small but WOW!

The smallest handbags are evening bags and the so-called clutch , which means something like "clasped". In contrast to the evening bag, the clutch has no handle and is therefore carried "clasped". This makes it stand out better and makes a pretty accessory to your outfit. You can either tuck it under your arm or grab it and hold it at a slight angle. The so-called envelope bag is one of the most well-known clutches because, as the name suggests, its shape is reminiscent of an envelope.

Since they are preferably worn at certain events and with a classy outfit, evening bags and clutches do not need to hold a lot of contents. They are usually used to store lipstick, perfume and the most necessary little things. Designers in particular discovered the appeal of these little eye-catchers early on! The designer Charles Arpels invented the elegant evening bag back in 1930. Since then, it has grown into a status symbol and the perfect companion for a grand evening appearance!
